Sprint Series Race # 15 Saturday September 14th 2024 Langley
Speedway Hampton, Va. With the large mighty ships of the Hampton
Roads ports all around the area Jerald Harris showed how to set
sail going to the front and on to win at Langley Speedway for
two in a row. Heats kicked off the night with Matt Mullins and
Jerald Harris taking wins. The feature was paced to green by
Aaron Leach and Jimmy Humblet on the front row with Leach out
first Humblet behind. Early on watching Jerald Harris working
the highline you could see he was coming to the front as he
passed a car lap after lap getting second and chasing down
Leach. Caleb Harris was racing with Humblet and Matt Mullins for
third with Harris moving to third leaving Humblet to fight for
fourth with Mullins getting by casing Harris. On lap sixteen
Jerald Harris made another outside move to take the lead and
inched away. Traffic was part of the final laps leaving Jerald
Harris his preferred high line and Leach no room to make a final
charge as Harris took the win his second in a row at Langley
after winning in July. At the line it was Jerald Harris, Aaron
Leach, Caleb Harris, Matt Mullins, Jimmy Humblet, Billy Hubbard,
Bill Mullis, Matthew Leach, Daren Bolac, Jacob Woods, John
Smith, Chris Ware and Chris Humblet. Next week it’s back to
Natural Bridge Speedway in Natural Bridge Virginia on Saturday

Diversified Machine Inc. (DMI) and Bulldog
Quick Change Rears would like to announce that we will no
longer be manufacturing ULTRALIGHT 2” i.d. sprint car axles.
While there are various part numbers still available on the
shelf, once inventory is depleted the axle will be discontinued.
The sprint car industry over the last 20 years has commonly
offered two different i.d. axles. 1.875” i.d. axles were
introduced to the industry in the early 90’s as a “LIGHTWEIGHT”
option. The1.875” has always been DMI’s standard weight option.
2.055” i.d. axles were introduced in the late 90’s as an
“ULTRALIGHT” option. Here at DMI our ULTRALIGHT has always been
slightly different at a 2” i.d. The ULTRALIGHT axle also
utilizes a different material. At DMI the 1.875” units are built
from domestic 7075-T6 aluminum while our 2” axles were produced
from domestic 7068-T6 material proprietary to Kaiser Aluminum.
The 7068 aluminum offers increased tensile and yield strength.
We will continue to produce our standard 1.875” i.d. axles from
the 7075-T6 aluminum AND offer an EXTREME DUTY version of 1.875”
i.d. axles produced from the 7068-T6 material for an additional
charge. Press Releases

Lucas Oil Speedway MO)One of the rising
prospects of sprint-car racing is far too young to have seen
Jesse Hockett impress in both the winged and wingless divisions

one of his favorites is the one about Hockett starting a feature

Xtreme Outlaw)Nearly 100 years of Midget
racing in the United States means nearly 100 years’ worth of
evolution, change and other positive advancement for one of dirt
track racing’s most exciting disciplines. They’re still
four-cylinder engine cars with four wheels and a driver cockpit,
capable of putting on some of the most entertaining programs in
motorsports. But with modern-day advancements in technology and
season-long points championships, the effort necessary to keep a
competitive car on the track, almost year-round, is now at an
all-time high.

410 sprint car rookie Kyle Keen. His season started reasonably
well for a rookie on the tough Central PA circuit. He qualified

about finishing. Making as many laps as possible each night to

Must See Racing)There’s just something
about Owosso Speedway that Canadian hotshoe Aaron Willison has
found to his liking in the Must See Racing Sprint Car Series
presented by Perfit. The Langley, British Columbia veteran and
current National Pavement Sprint Car Rankings leader drove from
ninth to first in a dicey 40-lap feature Saturday night at the
three-eighths-mile oval, notching his second series win of the
year and completing a season sweep of MSR events at Owosso.
