- Lucas Oil)Taking the lead on lap 40 when race
leader Scott Bloomquist jumped the cushion in turn one, Don O'Neal of
Martinsville, IN led the remaining 35 circuits to win the final night of the
34th Annual DART Winternationals for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at
East Bay Raceway Park. He earned $12,000 for the win. Dan Schlieper of
Sullivan, WI finished second, followed by Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN;
Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville, IL; and Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, WI. Erb
tallied the most DART Winternationals Championship Points for the week to
earn a $5,000 bonus from DART Machinery.

- Lucas Oil)Leading all 50 laps, Scott Bloomquist of
Mooresburg, TN held off Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN by two car lengths to win
Saturday afternoon's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at East Bay
Raceway Park. The $10,000 to win race was washed out on Friday and
rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader of action during the 34th
Annual DART Winternationals. Trailing Bloomquist and Owens to the finish was
Eric Jacobsen of Seacliffe Beach, CA; Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR; and
Rick Eckert of York, PA.

- WDRL)The WORLD Dirt Racing League (WDRL) is sorry
to announce that its Late Model touring series is discontinuing business
operations, effective at once. Series president Jim Wilson made the
announcement today. "We hated to have to make this announcement because of
the loyalty of the race fans, race teams and racetracks that we have been
fortunate to race at each year," he said. "We have a lot of friends out
there who will be missed tremendously, and we wish them all the best of
luck. For all of these reasons, shutting down the series was a very hard
decision to make."

- Fastrak)The FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring
Series is set to embark on its fourth season of action and co-directors
Vicki Emig and Mike Leone have announced the tentative 2010 schedule of
events. Thus far a record 20 events make up the Touring Series slate, which
will occur at 12 speedways throughout western and central Pennsylvania,
eastern Ohio, northern West Virginia, and western New York. Currently there
are 12 $1,200 to-win shows, three $1,500 to-win mains, two $2,000 to-win
events, and one $3,000, $5,000, and $6,000 to-win features. This is in
addition to Night 1 of the Grand Nationals at Mercer Raceway Park on October
2.

Late Model Winternationals show at East Bay Raceway Park has been cancelled
because of heavy rain that started at 2:00PM. On Saturday morning by 10:00AM
it will be determined whether a double show (afternoon- evening) is
possible, depending on track conditions at that time. If a double show is
not possible, then Friday’s rained out show will be Sunday with warm-ups at
12:00Noon and racing at 2:00PM. Saturday’s big $12,000-to-win show would
still be Saturday night with warm-ups at 5:00PM and racing at 7:00PM. For

- Lucas Oil)The fifth night of the 2010 DART
Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt
Series has been postponed due to heavy rain on Friday afternoon. A decision
will made at 8 AM on Saturday morning whether the Friday program will be ran
Saturday or Sunday depending on the track conditions Saturday morning. The
$12,000 event scheduled for Saturday Night is still scheduled as planned
with hotlaps starting at 5:00pm. If Friday's event is scheduled for
Saturday, thing will begin at noon.

- UFO)A 14th event has been added to the 2010 UFo
Race Championship Tour Schedule. Thunder Valley Raceway in Central, City PA
will host its first-ever UFo event and become the 8th supertrack of the
unified alliance. The "Highlander" will take place on Saturday night, May
22. The event will be highlighted by a 38 lap UFo Super Late Model
championship race paying $2,500 to the winner. TVR is a wide, fast half-mile
that has been under the management of Joe Padula and his family since they
re-opened the track in 2006. They have brought a high-quality racing program
to TVR and will turn up the power in 2010 with their first UFo Race
Championship event.

white flag, Earl Pearson Jr. of Jacksonville, FL passed race-long leader
Scott Bloomquist.The duo battled side-by side, but it was Pearson who went
to win a heart-pounding 40 lap main event. The event marked night four of
the 34th Annual DART Winternationals on Thursday Night at East Bay Raceway
Park. The four-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion

AR claimed his 20th career win at East Bay Raceway Park on Wednesday Night
during the 34th Annual DART Winternationals. Moyer and Josh Richards of
Shinnston, WV exchanged the lead four times in the final six laps in a

the first official version of the 2010 race schedule. The 2010 tour will
feature the highest number of events and the greatest number of
participating tracks in the 3-year existence of the UFo alliance. At least
13 UFo Super Late Model invasions will descend upon 7 of the best
supertracks in the Pennova region in the upcoming season.

- Fastrak NE)Less than one month ago, the prospects
of racing taking at place at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex looked
bleak. A press release went out on January 5 informing the public that the
scenic facility would be shuttered if a new owner wasn’t found. Enter Rick
Jones of Oval Track Promotions, Inc. Jones has picked up the ball and will
continue with Saturday night racing at Roaring Knob in 2010. The
announcement was made today that the crate Late Models will again be under
the FASTRAK banner and that two Northeast Touring Series events have been
scheduled.

informational seminar on the FASTRAK Late Model Racing Series at the Hesston
Speedway on Saturday, February 13 at 2 PM. The seminar will conducted in the

- SAS)The Super Bowl of Racing VI at Golden Isles
Speedway once again kicked-off Georgia-Florida Speedweeks with vigor and a
fair amount of drama. The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series sanctioned
three night affair attracted three of the largest crowds in the six year
history of the event and 40 different drivers. The South Georgia 4/10ths of
a mile oval once again delivered three stellar nights of racing resulting in
three different winners and tons of side-by-side racing. Scott Bloomquist,
Josh Richards and young Austin Hubbard each visited victory lane. Richards
and Hubbard’s wins were both Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series career
firsts for the drivers.

- SAS)Moving up from his eighth starting spot, Scott
Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tennessee rolled to the win in night number one of
the Super Bowl of Racing VI at Golden Isles Speedway. The win in the
Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series event gave Bloomquist a $7500 payday
in the first of three nights of racing at the South Georgia 4/10ths of a
mile facility. Bloomquist’s victory marked his seventh career Super Bowl win
in the six-year history of the event. “The car just got better and the tires
got better. Everything got better. The car was just perfect tonight.”

the O’Reilly/NCRA late model division as they ready for their 27th season
that finds them travel to five different states and fifteen different race
tracks. Among the highlights on the schedule are all the annual events,
including the “Alphabet Soup” and “Cornhusker Classic” events at I-80
Speedway at Nebraska Raceway Park in Greenwood, Nebraska, “NCRA Late Model
Nationals” at Mid-America Speedway in Doniphan, Nebraska and “King of the
Hill” at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool, Nebraska. A second annual
“Showdown in the Heartland” will also take place with four races instead of
three and a $10,000 to win event, the second of such event, in the 40 year

- IMCA)An expanded awards program with IMCA sees
Sunoco Race Fuels giving $4,000 in cash to Deery Brothers Summer Series
competitors in 2010. Drivers with perfect attendance and who qualify for the

promoter Don Kazarian announced that after a one-year absence, the fastest
stock cars to ever turn a wheel at Perris Auto Speedway, the Extreme Late
Models, would return two times during the 2010 season. Led by three-time PAS
Late Model champion Art Peterson of Cathedral City, the Late Models will
make their first appearance on March 27th. They will join Amsoil USAC/CRA
Sprint Cars and the West Coast Street Stock Series (PASSCAR Super Stocks) in
a high-speed triple-header show for their first appearance. They will be
back on July 24th when they again join the cars and stars of the West Coast
Street Stock Series, PASSCAR Street Stocks, Modifieds, Sport Mods,

lead on lap 35 and went on to win the 40-lap NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late
Model Series National Touring season opener on Saturday night at Columbus
Speedway driving the J.W. Miller Land and Timber Scorpion. The victory
was the fourth series career win for the third-generation driver. Thomas
started on the outside of the front row and battled for most of the event
with early race leader polesitter Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN in the
Miller Brothers Coal Warrior. Johnson held the bottom groove of the
¼-mile clay oval to keep the point for the first 34 laps of the race, while

the last two seasons, IMCA sanctioned Late Models will make more regular
appearances at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway this year. Thirteen Sunday night

- Australian Dirt Late Model)Defending titleholder
Marc Giancola reclaimed the coveted Australian Dirt Late Model Championship
with a calculated drive at the Manjimup Speedway in Western Australia on
January 2. Giancola drove to victory with precision in front of a huge crowd
but he did not have things all his own way starting from seventh on the
grid. Panel damage on night one and some doubt over the performance of the
power plant had the team on edge prior to the final. However they had the
right set up towards the end of the thirty-lap DiCandilo Steel City main
event as the early contenders began to slow.

was saluted for his spectacular 2009 season, which saw him win his first UMP
DIRTcar Super Late Model national championship – ending the two-year reign
of Carpentersvile, Ill.'s Dennis Erb Jr. – lead the circuit with 23 feature
wins and capture the UMP DIRTcar-sanctioned Monster Midwest Series title.
